With Gelli Plates, you can produce vivid monoprints without need of a press! These re-usable silicone pads allow hand-printing of multiple colours, with multiple impressions, and high resolution.
Gelli Plates work exceptionally well with Golden OPEN Acrylic, and we will be using these unique, slow-drying paints to create superb monoprints. Your prints can be both finished works, or the basis for mixed media paintings, using Pan Pastel, and watercolour to further embellish the image.

Most materials supplied. Please bring brushes, palette, paper towels, notebook and pen.

Saturday 4th October

#8)           9.30am -12.30pm           Golden Extremely Interesting Acrylics           Registration fee     $20
Working in upstate New York, Golden Paints have developed five different paint ranges into a Complete Acrylic System of intermixable materials that combine with 60 different mediums, additives, gels and pastes, to make every painting approach possible. While Heavy Body Acrylic that comes in tubes is most common, colours now also come in bottles, out of markers, droppers, in super matte colours, slow drying formulas, liquid inks and creamy fluids.
We’ll try these fresh innovations in acrylic painting, exploring unique colours and viscosities, pointing you to new possibilities from this most versatile of paint media.

Most materials supplied. Please bring brushes, palette, paper towels, notebook and pen.

#9           1.00-4.00pm     Golden Unusual Grounds and Gels                                  Registration fee     $20
Fast, exciting ways to create a painting from the ground up. Gesso is the standard universal primer that we use to prepare a surface, yet for the acrylic painter, there are many more interesting preparations that have an instant effect on our painting process. We can choose between absorbent and non-absorbent, textured or smooth, hard or yielding, all offered in the wonderful range of Acrylic Pastes Golden offer. We’ll explore surfaces suited to fluid techniques, subtractive painting, and mixed media.
Acrylic Gels affect the viscosity and sheen of your colour. In this part of the workshop, we’ll choose colour separately from the feel we want for our paint, revolutionizing the possibilities for your painting practice.

Most materials supplied. Please bring brushes, palette, paper towels, notebook and pen.
