February 2012 is Plein Air Painting Month at Impressions
Throughout February, Impressions invite all artists to join staff artist Catherine Kent to paint en plein air in Sundial Square between 10am and noon each Friday, weather-permitting. Just phone the store to confirm if the weather is dubious. No previous experience is necessary. Just bring your easel, painting gear, sun protection and a smile! Let's show the poeple of Richmond and Nelson how much fun painting can be!
Plein Air Photo Challenge
You are invited to forward a photo (as a JPeg) to Impressions of a painting you have created, in the outdoor location where you painted it by 27th February. The painting need not be completely finished. The Impressions team will select one photo to be published in our March email newsletter and the artist will receive a prize pack of art materials valued at $50.
PAPON, in association with Impressions, is proud to announce their 2012 Festival of Plein Air Painting throughout February and March. For information about PAPON (Plein Air Painters of Nelson) and the 2012 Festival link to www.papon.co.nz
