This notice is being sent to advise you of the forthcoming Artist Workshop to be held in March. Also of the product demonstration  planned for Tuesday 26^th January in-store.

Artist Workshop

"Painting with Texture and Mixed Media"

10am - 4pm, Sunday 7 March 2010 

 

This first Impressions' Artist Workshop for 2010 will be a day of fun and creative painting with Tutor Larisse Hall.

 

In the course of the day, you will

·         Explore mixed media with new and tantalising techniques;

·         Complete at least 2 pieces of art;

·         Extend your capabilities.

Materials required: -

1.       Acrylic paint

2.       3 painting supports e.g. stretched canvas – 1 small, 2 medium sizes

3.       Brushes and painting/palette knives

4.       Anything textural that takes your fancy

5.       Protective tunic/apron.

If you like to work from photos or other reference material, please bring these along with you.

N.B.: - gloves and other ‘surprise’ material will be supplied.

Light refreshments will be supplied. Please bring your lunch with you.

 

Venue: Art @ 203, 203 Trafalgar St, Nelson

Fee: $40.00 per person payable to Impressions. Your place will only be confirmed upon payment of the fee. Payment may be made in-store, on-line, by phone with credit card or by post with cheque. In the event that the workshop has to be cancelled, all fees paid will be refunded.

The workshop will run provided at least 4 people register. Maximum number of participants will be 10.

Old Holland Oil Paint Demonstration

In-store 2pm, Tuesday 26 January

Old Holland Oil Paints have been introduced to our stock ranges of oil paints, due to popular demand – and we’re so glad we have. Artists keep telling us that after Old Holland, no other oil paints will do!

Come along to find out about the special qualities these oil paints. You will learn a little about the background of these beautiful paints, have an experienced working artist demonstrate and explain the qualities of the colours and get the opportunity to have a hands-on “play” with the colours yourself.
