Creating From the Magic Within - A Weekend Workshop with NgAng
This inspiring, relaxed, fun two-day workshop brings out the creativity inside every person whether-or-not you've ever touched a pastel or paintbrush, or you've been making your living as an artist for years.
Through simple, enjoyable, carefully sequenced exercises that build confidence and camaraderie along with vision and skill, each participant, creates ten uniquely personalised images including abstracts, mandalas, rainbow colour spectra, "light drawings", spontaneous "mood images" from live harp music, and "Inner Child" image.
NgAng Demonstrates How to Apply the Pastel
With the emphasis on intuitive, spontaneous creation rather than left-brain design and planning, there is no comparison, no critical evaluation, and no "wrong way to do it" in this course. Susan Creedy's Adult Art Classes
TERM 1 & 2 2012
SUSAN CREEDY, 137 McSHANE ROAD, RICHMOND.
PHONE: 03 544 2244 E-MAIL: susan.creedy@xtra.co.nz
All sessions will be held on Mondays except when there is a Public Holiday and then they will be on the following day.
Please note that all classes will now be recreational painting and drawing and include all mediums and levels of ability. Specific workshops on selected weekends will be held for those students who want extra assistance to improve their skills or for beginners wishing to get started in a particular interest area. It is well known that I do not teach beginners acrylics but am happy to have them employed by experienced painters when they are more suitable for their needs. I recommend strongly that oils are an excellent medium to learn with and a switch to acrylic paints is an easier transition at a later time if they are preferred.
Watercolours are becoming more popular and I will be catering for them in day sessions and workshops so look out for them.
Pastels and other drawing mediums are also encouraged.
Drawing is absolutely “pushed” by me as a basic skill that will assist students with any form of painting they take on. There will be weekend workshops early in the year to promote this ability.
